Koh Samet is pretty small and most of the activity centres around the Beach. We're really lucky as our rooms are all overlooking the beach with white sand and beautiful blue water. Its just at the end of peak season too, so not too many tourists and plenty of room to get about. Our room (sharing with Kayleigh) is ok...fan on permanently as no aircon and laundry is dirt cheap so im happy, plus theres wifi.
As ive said, first night got hammered....second night got hammered.....third night, yes you've guessed it....got hammered! The buckets of Gin'n'Tonic are only 200bht and we measured how many glasses you get....bloody 6! Thats like 2.40 the lot...bargain! Actually the other night we didnt get in till 5am cause Laura and i were locked out of her room realising after knocking the door and rattling the lock and waking up some very unhappy Germans next door that Maddy wasn't actually in the bloody room! So with Maddy not home yet....and discovering my front door had 'two' pairs of flip flops outside...i wasn't about to gate crash that party and so Luaura and i ended up walking along the beach, eating revolting seaweed flavoured crisps which contorted our faces into something scary and chatting to the locals. It was a good laugh actually and eventually the line up left to right was....Laura, me, mike and kayliegh, in a row, on my bed, utterly crashed out. Not hoping to repeat that, so ill be having the room key from now on...
