Island number two - Koh Pang yang. Back on the boat, followed by an hours wait for the bus at the port, followed by a 3 hour stop at what appeared to be some old ladies house where she provided coffee made with cold water??? Toilet facilities (the Asian squat variety) at 5 baht a piss and a stern ticking off for leaving our bags near her front gate. "What"? The bloody bus driver dumped us and our stuff with no word of what the hell was going on, only to say "You stay here" and "Take bags" and "Other bus will come". Luckily the girls and I have become used the total chaos that is Asian bus companies and tours. Its quite amusing really because you literally can not rely on anything you are told and don't even think they have any concept of punctuality or logic. Once that tedium was over we were then onto the next bus which drove us for about 2 hours to the next port....and there we waited...for about 3 hours....and then got on the ferry....for about 4 hours....and then got off the ferry and took a open air tuk tuk type taxi, who incidentally picked up a couple of pissed guys from Singapore and judging by the amount of time we spent on that thing i wouldnt have been surprised if we'd actually entered Singapore! Drive continue the long journey up some very steep hills indeed. In fact the hills were so steep money started rolling off the top of the taxi (our bags were up there, unsecured and also at risk of taking a spin off the back). Unfortunately if they had it would have meant sure death for the poor sod riding his moped up our arse...

When we did finally get there the taxi driver was adamant he couldn't take us any further along the road to our digs, as the road was too narrow...hhmmm we thought. Anyway, we paid him and started making our way to our beach front huts. By this time it was getting on for nearly midnight and having 'hopped' all day we were in no mood for lazy taxi drivers and locals sending us off in all directions as no-one knew where our 'beach front' (yes, the name is a small but important hint) huts were! what followed was the utter breakdown of my normally extremely patient soul....one foot fucked due to blisters, a raging cough that left me gasping for air, tired beyond funny and the agony of carrying a small person on my back had left me seriously lagging behind the others as we trudged along the the soft sinking sand, in the dark, surrounded yet again by the hounds of hell, whilst following a right dodgy character. Plus, I might add, the road was more than big enough and so that was grating on me and the others also.
